4SC AG sold the Japanese rights to the experimental Resminostat cancer drug to Yakult Honsha Co for €6 million ($8.7 million) upfront and a potential €127m in additional payments, plus double-digit royalties. Yakult gained the right to develop and market the drug for liver and colon cancer and other uses, Martinsried, Germany- based 4SC said in an e-mailed statement today. The drug is in mid-stage trials for liver cancer, Hodgkin’s lymphoma and colon cancer.
