Bank of Japan appoints Masayoshi Amamiya to executive director post

The Bank of Japan made Masayoshi Amamiya an executive director at the central bank to replace Akinari Horii, the bank said in a statement in Tokyo today. Amamiya has been director-general of the bank’s monetary affairs department since 2006.
