Banque Saudi Fransi <1050.SE> booked about 119.9 mln riyals ($32 mln) in provisions for loan losses during the second quarter, according to data published on the Saudi stock exchange on Wednesday.
Samba Financial Group <1090.SE>, the kingdom's second-largest lender by market value, booked 97.3 mln in provisions for loan losses during the second quarter, after 203 million riyals in the first quarter and 141.6 mln riyals in the fourth quarter of 2008, according to the data.
Banque Saudi Fransi booked 46.1 mln riyals in provisions for the same purpose during the first quarter and 287.5 million riyals in the fourth quarter of 2008, according to data.
The Saudi affiliate of France's Calyon has reported a 10.6 percent drop in second-quarter profit.
Samba posted a 1.6 percent rise in second-quarter net profit.
