Barclays network problems fixed

Barclays said that a system crash that left thousands of customers in Britain unable to access their bank accounts or withdraw money from cash machines on Saturday had been fixed. "It was a problem yesterday at around 2 o'clock and it was fixed very quickly and things are back to normal," said a spokeswoman on Sunday. "It was a problem for a few hours yesterday afternoon." The problems, which began at around 1230 GMT, hit telephone and online banking services and access to online accounts was still being denied at 1915 GMT.
