Belgian banking and insurance group KBC named new chief executives of operations in Hungary and Poland on Tuesday, as part of a general reshuffle at and reorganisation of its operations. Hendrik Scheerlinck, currently chief financial officer of Czech unit CSOB, would be proposed as chief executive officer of of K&H Bank and of KBC's Hungarian operations. He will replace Marko Voljc, who is to head KBC's central and eastern Europe and Russia business unit. In Poland, Jaroslaw Parkot would become chief executive of insurance operations Warta Non Life and Warta Life, succeeding Krzysztof Kudelski who will step down on July 1. KBC, which has received €7bn ($9.46bn) in state aid to help it through the global financial crisis, has a large presence in central and eastern Europe. It is set to list a minority of Czech unit CSOB and sell Poland consumer finance unit Zagiel.
