China’s fiscal spending in December is likely to be 2trn yuan, the Ministry of Finance said on its Web site today. The figure accounts for 26.2 per cent of annual budgetary spending, which represents a normal pattern of spending for December, the ministry said. Central government spending will account for 306.8bn yuan of the total, while spending by local governments will amount to 1.69trn, according to the statement.
