Dana Gas rises after posting Q1 profit

Dana Gas shares rise in early trade after the natural gas company reported a net profit for the first quarter.Dana shares rise 1.3 per cent, while Abu Dhabi's index inches 0.1 per cent higher to 2,799 points.

The company also said it was confident about its full-year results. Dubai's index rises 0.5 per cent led by telecom firm Du , which gains 2 per cent. Shuaa Securities advises its clients to accumulate Du shares ahead of the firm's rights issue completion in June, saying the current valuation presents a good buying opportunity.
