DR, Denmark’s state-owned broadcaster which has been unprofitable the past four years, said it will lay off 64 workers as part of a cost-saving plan. An additional 37 workers have chosen to leave on terms negotiated with the Copenhagen-based broadcaster, DR said in a statement on its website today. DR, which lost 88.5 million kroner ($15.2 million) last year, employs some 3,000 people.
