Dirk Rossmann to become first drugstore chain in Turkey

Dirk Rossmann GmbH, Germany’s third- largest drugstore company, will open three stores in Turkey next year to become the country’s first drugstore-chain operator, the company said today by e-mail. The Turkish unit will be 75 per cent owned by Rossmann while local PNR Group will hold the rest, the Burgwedel, Germany-based retailer said. Rossmann, which is family owned, also has operations in four eastern European countries and gets almost a third of revenue from the region.
