Egypt’s cotton exporters’ union will discuss at a meeting today extending the period of shipping cotton until September 10, local newspaper reported, citing Mefreh El-Beltagi, a member of the union’s board. Cotton exports are expected to reach 83,000 tonnes valued at around 200 million Egyptian pounds ($35.1 million) by the end of August, the report quoted El-Beltagi as saying.
