Dubai-based carrier Emirates has become the most favoured brand among UAE consumers, according to the latest survey conducted by YouGov Siraj.
Emirates airline made an impressive jump from its previous ranking of fourth, moving by 9.2 points to 72 in overall index score and outperforming giant technology brands such as Nokia, Google and Sony, the BrandIndex survey showed.
BrandIndex, which was launched by YouGov Siraj in July, is an international research tool used to measure the health of companies’ brand equity. This brand barometer gathers daily views of UAE and Saudi consumers online across 200 brands.
In the survey Nokia came in second with 71 points, followed by Google (68), Sony (65), Toyota (57), Mercedes (56), Microsoft (55), BMW (53), Mall of the Emirates (49) and Lexus (45).
“Media clippers, analysts, brand managers and stakeholders are now in a position to track top brands, [such as] Emirates, as they commit to high level marketing and advertising budgets,” says Vivek Wagle, research director at YouGov.
