Sales of antiepileptic drugs totaled $3.5 billion in 2009 in the US, Japan, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK, Datamonitor Group said.
The market may reach a peak value of $5.1bn in 2017, after which the US will experience a new wave of drug-patent expiries, the market research company said in an e-mailed statement today.
