Kenya's Nation Media Group reported a 51.6 percent increase in first-half pretax profit on Monday to 891.6 million shillings ($11.11m) as its market share grew across east Africa. "This was attributable to growth in revenue and market share, favourable global prices of newsprint and prudent cost manangement," Nation said in a statement. Turnover hit 4.5 billion shillings, a 17 per cent increase from the same period last year.
