Kuwait cbank to issue $348m in treasury bonds

Kuwait's central bank said on Monday it would issue 100 million dinars ($348.1 million) of one-year treasury bonds on Aug 19 with a coupon rate of 1.5 percent.

Bids for the bonds amounted to 340.5 million dinars, central bank data showed.

Kuwait's central bank has been increasing the number of bond issues this year to absorb excess liquidity. The last issue was on Aug 12, for 100 million dinars, with 1.5 percent coupon.
