Linklaters appoints Salt to head Asia after Shao joins JPMorgan

Linklaters LLP, the highest-grossing UK law firm, appointed Stuart Salt as its Asia Managing Partner to succeed Zili Shao, who is joining JPMorgan Chase & Co as the bank’s China chairman and chief executive officer. Salt, 48, Linklaters’ managing partner for Emerging Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, returns to Hong Kong where he had headed the firm’s Asian banking and projects practice from 2005 to 2008, London-based Linklaters said in a statement today.
