Preventive measures against H1N1 in Dubai

The Ministry of Social Affairs has ordered closure of nurseries and deferral of teaching at the people with special needs centres as preventive measures against H1N1.

HE Mariam Mohammed Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of Social Affairs, said the policies of the ministry put the health of children as a priority to prevent the spread of disease as per the nursery law number 5 of year 1983 and law of people with special needs number 29 of year 2006 and Convention on the Rights of the Child, an International Agreement endorsed by the UAE and the Handicaps Internationl also ratified by the UAE. The ministry called on public to deal with this decision positively without exaggeration because it was taken as a precautionary measure to protect the community. It reiterated that all should cooperate to implement all the preventive measures to curb and eradicate the disease.
