Private healthcare sector a key partner in battle against H1N1

Private healthcare providers play a vital role in the global battle against H1N1 or swine flu, said Dr Ali Ahmed bin Shakar, Director General of the Ministry of Health '&' Director of the National Supervisory Committee for Combating Swine Flu. "The private healthcare sector is a strategic partner in the education, awareness and prevention plans designed to combat swine flu," he stated. The meeting discussed current status of the prevention efforts, as well as the mechanism for registering patients as recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
