SAS Group will take a decision on upgrading its long-haul fleet by mid-2012, Chief Executive Officer Rickard Gustafson told reporters today in Zurich.
The Scandinavian carrier will complete replacement of its short-haul aircraft by 2014, Gustafson said, adding that the company has no immediate plans for asset sales or acquisitions.
“Our M&A strategy is purely opportunistic,” he said. “An acquisition at the moment could cause management integration problems but if we see the right opportunity we’ll take it.”
