An Ethiopian company owned by Saudi billionaire Mohammed Al-Amoudi signed a contract with Japan’s Satake International Co Ltd to build a $9.4m rice- processing plant in the Horn of Africa country, the Ethiopian News Agency reported, citing Haile Asegide, director general of Saudi Star Agricultural Development Plc. The 10,000-hectare farm in western Ethiopia will grow rice for export to the Middle East, the Addis Ababa-based news service said.
