The Hamriyah Free Zone Authority has honoured its business partners recently in its annual ‘TOP-3 2011’ awards ceremony at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) headquarters in Sharjah (UAE).
Investors, suppliers and service providers which have met the free zone's exacting business requirements were recognised for their excellence, according to a statement. Forty-five companies and individuals in 16 categories were recognised for their excellence.
“We work hard within Hamriyah Free Zone to achieve excellence in every aspect of our service, and this is not something we can do alone. These awards allow us to recognise those business partners who have helped us to achieve our goal of not only making our Free Zone increasingly efficient and competitive in an ethical and sustainable way, but also in maintaining a high level of delivery throughout the year,” HFZA Director General Dr. Rashid Al Leem said in the statement.
The awards were given on the basis of Hamriyah Free Zone’s ‘Partner Performance Management System’. The system provides performance feedback from across the free zone covering its six key performance pillars of: business ethics and conduct, social and environmental practices, financial performance, technical capability, delivery and quality of service as well as the strength of the commercial relationship.
“Our latest projects are Hamriyah Logistic Village and Hamriyah industrial Zone. The Logistics Village is aimed on providing all-in-one logistics and distribution centre for companies operating in the free zone. This initiative is a part of the Government of Sharjah vision for Emirate’s industrial and commercial sustainable growth. The area will include 220 warehouses in range of size from 200sqm up to 800 sqm Hamriyah Industrial Zone is a especially dedicated area with 144 land plots of 5,000sqm each.
