Sheikh Mohammed launches new look of Al Ittihad

Sheikh Mohammed unveiled the new look of the paper amidst cheerful applaud by the audience and then watched a documentary on the evolution of the paper throughout the past four decades up to the digital media age.

In his welcoming address, Editor-in-chief Rashid Al Araimi traced down the humble launch of the paper by the late founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan from small apartment at the Airport Road to become the mouthpiece of the UAE in 100 pages. He paid tribute to all the prominent media personalities who led the daily paper in its long historic march to what it is today. ''The 40the anniversary is not stop for folding 40 years of the age of the nation and the paper rather it is a departure for opening minds, pinning hopes and stretching hands for new decades to come,''he added. ''The overall rapid progress that swept sectors and community has also reached out to the paper,''he said.
