Silver futures plunge in India after rally

Silver futures plunged as much as 5.3 per cent on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd after rallying to a record on Monday.

Silver for May delivery dropped to as low as 66,387 rupees per kilogram on the exchange and traded at 66,960 rupees at 10:02am in Mumbai. The white metal touched an all-time high of 73,600 rupees on Monday. Gold futures declined as much 0.7 per cent to 21,825 rupees per 10 grams.
