Syria is seeking to buy 300,000 metric tonnes of Ukrainian milling wheat, said Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, the former Soviet nation’s agriculture minister.
The potential purchase was discussed at a meeting between the governments in Kiev on November 1, Prysyazhnyuk said today in an interview. Ukraine may supply the wheat outside of quotas for grain exports that were imposed last month, according to the minister.
