Televisa jumps 2.5pct in Mexico after Cablemas deal

Grupo Televisa SA, the world’s largest Spanish-language broadcaster, jumped 2.5 per cent to 59.89 pesos at 9:34 am New York time in Mexico City trading.

Televisa agreed to acquire full ownership of its Cablemas SA unit in a deal valued at 4.7 billion pesos ($397 million), getting the 42 per cent portion of the company it didn’t already own, according to a filing today to Mexico’s stock exchange.
