Thailand’s economy, Southeast Asia’s second largest, may expand as much as 4 per cent next year on increased government spending and an export rebound, the finance ministry said. The economy may contract 2.8 per cent this year, less than the previous forecast of 3 per cent, Satit Rungkasiri, the director general of the Fiscal Policy Office, told a press briefing in Bangkok today.
