UAE inflation in July rose 0.39 per cent driven mainly by price spikes in household appliances and food items, according to the latest data from the economy ministry.
Average inflation for the first seven months of this year was 2.96 per cent, the ministry said on its website on Thursday.
Inflation rose 0.03 per cent in June over May this year.
"Inflation in July was higher due to increase in prices of household appliances, furniture, food and rent compared to the earlier month," said Mousa Alobada, economic researcher at the ministry.
