A specialised mobile heart treatment centre has been launched in South Sudan to diagnose and treat needy patients with heart diseases, in a drive aimed at curbing the world's top killer. The move follows the directives from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of Ruler in Western Region and Chairman of the Red Crescent Authority. Chief Executive of Emirates World Mobile Humanitarian Hospital, Emirati Heart Surgeon, Dr Adel Al Shamri said the mobile heart centre will focus on needy patients, particularly elderly and children in the country. Al Shamri noted that the specialised heart centre will work in two phases: the first phase will include, out clinic, heart intensive care unit, heart diagnosis unit and laboratory unit, while the second phase, will include, catheterisation mobile unit and open heart surgery mobile unit.
