LUXGEN, Taiwan's first automobile brand has launched at the Dubai International Motor Show, taking place on December 16-20 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. On display is a full line-up of 4 unique LUXGEN vehicles scheduled to become available in the GCC from Q4 2010. These vehicles combine luxury, style, state of the art technology and forward thinking engineering philosophy.
LUXGEN vehicles are engineered to 'Think Ahead' for their drivers. Armed with advanced technology designed by Taiwan's global smart phone leader HTC, the vehicles are equipped with a suite of advanced features to preempt road conditions and potential hazards.
All the vehicles feature a state of the art onboard computer system, dubbed the 'Think+', which, for the first time ever, combines HTC smart technology and Windows CE Automotive interface. 'Think+' boasts six main attractive features, including video and audio entertainment, telecommunication, GPS navigation, safety alerts, owner exclusive applications and system settings.
Additionally, the vehicles also feature: Eagle View+ (a 360 degree surround imaging system), Night Vision+ (light-enhancing forward-looking camera system), Side View+ (Blind spot Monitoring System nod LDWS+ (Lane Departure Warning System).

The inaugural LUXGEN fleet consists of four vehicles, including the world's first 7-passenger electric vehicle (LUXGEN EV+), a luxury executive transportation vehicle, (LUXGEN CEO) plus a luxury MPV (LUXGEN7 MPV) and a Luxury SUV (LUXGEN7 SUV).
The LUXGEN brand was established by Taiwan's Yulon Group by combining Taiwan's highly advanced auto and IT industries. The "IT+AUTO+ET", its core branding spirit, is what differentiates the LUXGEN brand to best illustrate Taiwan's powerful R'&'D strength.
"Taiwan's IT industry has been highly acknowledged around the world - we aspire to capitalize on that strength as an automaker and promote a Taiwanese automobile brand on the global stage" Mr. K.C.HU, CEO of LUXGEN, said.
The brand targets flourishing markets around the world such as the Middle East.
Initially, the LUXGEN7 MPV and LUXGEN7 SUV will be available in the GCC markets, whilst the LUXGEN CEO will be built-to-order according to the specific needs of prospective customers. The LUXGEN CEO is equipped with a number of advanced features and offers uniquely spacious and luxurious interior appointments dedicated to offer the most comfortable traveling environment.
