WTA gives Allaster the chair

The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour has appointed Stacey Allaster as chairman and chief executive, starting in the post immediately.

Allaster has been the president of the Tour since 2006. She replaces the outgoing Larry Scott, commissioner for the last six years, who is going to become commissioner at the NCAA’s PAC-10 conference.
