Zimbabwe will from tomorrow ban the export of chrome ore to boost local processing, the country’s Ministry of Mines and Mining Development said in a statement published in the Harare-based Herald newspaper today. The government lifted a ban on chrome ore exports in November 2009 to allow miners to recover from a recession and hyperinflation.
